High-tech optics achieved by thin films

An outstanding infrastructure, qualified employees, a good organisation and strategical aims enable us to enthuse customers by offering thin films with high requirements.
We'll guide you through cleanroom lock into a high tech room and he will show you why our thin films can be so strong.
High-vacuum evaporation processes allow to apply extremely thin layers on optical components and technical glass. We cover the visible, the ultraviolet and the infrared spectrum.

Coating Department – Ultra fine cleaning
Cleaning in a cleanroom Perfection begins at 100%.
A perfect result in thin film coatings requires a perfect preparation of the substrates.
A fully controlled wet or plasma cleaning fully complies to the tasks. The optimised cleaning procedure is chosen according to the substrate material and the geometrical shape of the substrate, environmentally friendly, efficient, fully controlled procedures in a cleanroom environment.
Coating Department – Coating machines
Plasma Cleaning coating Nearly any substrate material and shape can be coated in our most modern coating facilities – either with plasma assistance or by a traditional evaporation procedure.
Any of our coatings – either metallic or dielectric – can be patterned by a special procedure which was developed by SwissOptic. The structure of the pattern can size down to a few microns.

A competent coating development and engineering, controlled processes, constant process surveillance and a quality control lead to products satisfying even the most demanding specifications. Data concerning the quality, the processes and logistics as well as witness pieces are stored for 10 years.
Coating Department – Spectrum Measurement
Optical Coating Design Measurement show the reality.
Our physicists developing the coating processes have a lot of experience and most modern machines, allowing them to achieve a high yield even on new coating developments.

Coating development is made in a competent team using the leading design softwares. The direct cooperation with the production team assures best results.

The coating result is shown by spectrophotometer measurements.
Coating Department – Lacquering
Optical Lacquering Optical components with a simple or a complex shape receive their finish and optimised protection in our department. We are proud of our long tradition and know-how which is permanently kept up to date.
Lacquered diaphragms located in the optical path are made by spray painting. Even glass types with a high refractive index can be used.
